I'm far behind on my updates here as well as behind on pretty much everything else. V6 is history before it was ever finished. Not exactly what was said but certainly, after all this time, it is how I feel. The exact wording was this: "It is with a heavy heart that today I must announce the suspension of work on ProBoards Version 6. With the changing landscape of our current economy, we’ve found it necessary to reprioritize projects and have had to place v6 on indefinite hiatus." More info can be found: hereBasically nothing is moving forward, not v6 nor v5. Support itself isn't going anywhere and neither is anything that has been done up to the date on their update. But for v6 forum owners, nothing is being added or fixed either or that is my understanding anyway. I do hate when PB uses big words. v5 is will remain as it is with it not moving forward either which was something people had been curious enough to ask.
This will not matter here at this forum since I didn't take part in v6 beyond the first 'testing it out' phase on support.
As to v5, I stopped making themes and stopped playing with v5 stuff a couple years back. Nothing changes.
Personal thoughts: I was looking forward to the push of v6 but after reading through the update, *shrugs* I'm not the least bit surprised that this happened. I adore PB Staff and all they do but they are small and can only do so much. With all the issues since COVID, not much really surprises me anymore. The fact that they are sticking around at all is enough.
