I said in the the announcement thread that there wouldn't be paragraphs upon paragraphs of explanation to this board and I kept to that in the announcement itself but those who know me know I enjoy writing out the why behind things I do. Some tend to find humor in those explanations which is part of why I do it. The more complex explanation is something I'd love to do with every board on this forum (and have though never kept them) because it helps to give ideas and better understanding to a topic. Some complain because they feel obligated to read so if you're one of those.. stop.. and exit this thread now. The rest of you... keep reading.
I came up with this idea a few days ago because I have been working on organizing all my memories, pics, docs, personal stuff, forum related stuff, fb related stuff, family stuff, movies and music and a lot more. My external was acting up so I had to replace it. I noticed just how much junk and duplicated items I had in all those folders. Organizing is a very lengthy process when the things you're organizing go back 10 or more years. I actually get frustrated with it because I can spend a whole day organizing and it doesn't even make a dent in what I'm doing.
I've also been having issues with windows and in trying to figure out how to fix those issues, learned that the things I thought I knew a lot of about, turns out that I know very little. (chalk it up to that most of what I used to know became outdated and all I thought I still knew turned out false or didn't even apply)
Those are just two of the ideas that came to mind based on things I'm doing in my own life. There are tons more but these two will cover an assortment of topics. Sometimes the best way to organize your stuff is to first organize your life. (ironic really)
--A Librarian is someone who helps you find things and you find that person in a library.
--The library on the forum however is just a place used to store things which is often known as a "bookshelf" Most bookshelf are full of books and those books are often collecting dust. The reasons I didn't label it that way was 1) I have high hopes that our library doesn't collect dust forever. 2) I wanted typical topics designed for a bookshelf to be placed in either the storyboards or the general discussion board. (but so far, no one has really even realized just how many broad topics such a thing would cover or maybe don't care)
--The LostnFound is the whole of the forum. It's the name of the forum and the area to which I write as well. It's the place that I detail my life's thoughts and sometimes actions but on a more personal level. "I was lost but now I'm found"
Irony comes in many shades and I usually pick the one most changeable. If this forum ever picks up for example, I might just create that bookshelf after all. For now though... it'll remain as it is.
The Librarian is the keeper to the LostnFound. (much like EE is the keeper to my heart) If that isn't Irony. I have more work to do.
Topics of various things that come to mind when you are working on a project, going about your day to day activities, living your life no matter how carefree or complex it may get/be, troubles of the non-personal variety are just a few things to consider when stepping up to: The Librarian.

The true Irony comes in the title for the board.
