This seems to be the format I am most comfortable in.
I have several examples splattered over at least a dozen different genera, everything from Christian Fiction to Science Fiction to Adult and back again.
One of the topics we could discuss is where is the line between Short Story, "Novelette", and Novel.
A couple of hundred words is a short story, something that burns through a ream of paper when you want to print it is a novel.... but where is the breed standard for each?

but where is the breed standard for each? Now that is an interesting question. How many ways can you answer that? Is there an actual answer? As a whole, where does one begin and another end and what exactly would that be called? *re-reads the rest* I like how you broke that down in 3. Most wouldn't think to do that if it wasn't already done. A couple hundred words... I believe I've pulled that off more than once in conversation, was that then, a story?

Interesting divisions on the novels, novellettas, and 'short stories'.
I'll have to go look and see what's what.
But I'm taking it that the 400,000 word trilogy is safe in the 'novel' ranks.

I thought so but until I have content for them, the boards will go. All of them honestly. I'll explain it in the suggestion box soon. And no, as you read, it is not safe, sadly.
